Leonna Howard is a Christian hip-hop dancer and choreographer. The foundation of dance for her is worshipping Christ. She believes that the purpose of Dance is found in 2 Samuel 6:14-22 and John 4:24. Leonna began dancing at 6 years old with her sister in the Church. She began dancing professionally and competitively in Highschool with the nationally ranking, Booker T Washington Pom Squad and Organized Khaos Dance Crew under the training of Teki Stewart in Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Ballet.
During her college years she founded the Christian Hip -Hop dance crew , Shake Culture Crew, at Jacksonville University where she grew in choreography and in Christ. She wanted to build a community of people on campus who loved to dance and could grow in Christ together. Leonna was the director and choreographer of the award winning, Shake Culture Crew for the four years of her college experience.
Leonna is a recent graduate of Jacksonville University class of 2020, an accountant, and the founder of Shake Culture Dance. Shake Culture Dance is a Christian Dance Ministry in Jacksonville that hosts virtual dance classes, dance videos, performances, and masterclasses for the dance community. Leonna directed and choreographed the music video for Walk Wit it by Jimmie Hustle and she is the creative Director of the #FlowintheSpirit freestyle Series that showcases dancers of all styles worshiping Christ. Leonna has recently created a new freestyle series called In My Nappy Head, a series that amplifies dancing for enjoyment, celebrating your growth, and feeling gorgeous while rocking your natural beauty.
